About this Blog

From the Lost Road is a blog dedicated to J. R. R. Tolkien and all his works, but most notably his mythological epic The Silmarillion. Here I will post all of my art dedicated to the characters, stories, and spirit of Tolkien's brilliant work.

In the Character tab you will find my designs for the characters of Middle-earth

The Illustration tab contains finished works based on characters and/or scenes from Tolkien's works

In the Pages tab you can see pages from my own graphic novel adaptation of The Silmarillion

I have loved Tolkien's works since I was young, thanks to my father. During the course of my college career, as I learned more about visual storytelling character development, I wanted nothing more than to create a graphic novel that would bring The Silmarillion to a whole new audience. Only by the time I was finishing graduate school did I feel I was ready and willing to accept this monumental task. I completed the first twenty pages of my adaptation for my thesis project and am currently working on developing the rest of the pages in between other projects and living life.
